ISO 9000:2001
Internal Auditing Workshop
(Process-based & Metrics-driven)
Internal Auditing is critical to performance!
It ensures that you maximize the benefits that implementing a quality standard can bring. ISO 9001:2000 introduced the "process-based and metrics-driven" approach to management systems, something that dramatically altered not only the way the standard itself was written, but also how every company would be required to manage it's quality system.
The new ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and TS 16949 requirements demand that a company understand its operations as a series of linked, interactive processes, and manage each process by allocating resources, defining methods and criteria for monitoring, and taking action when a process fails to meet expectations. However, inconsistencies not only occur between different registration companies, but between auditors of the same company, often on the same audit team! Where one auditor finds a nonconformance, another interprets it as nothing more than an observation; in some cases, the finding that one auditor considers important is deemed irrelevant by a different auditor.
This course is designed to enhance your understanding of process-based, metric-driven auditing techniques. Using interactive workshops, simulated audits and case studies, you will develop practical audit skills, improve evaluation and communication skills, refine reporting skills and sharpen your ability to implement corrective action programs. Attendees will also gain an understanding of Customer Oriented Processes (COPs), as well as the customer-specific requirements defined by the ISO Standard.
